Much to the humiliation of the United States of America, its elected leader rambled on ludicrously for an hour scolding the U.N. and making silly, childish claims. Here are some of the low lights:
First, just make believe…”It’s too bad that I had to do these things instead of the United Nations doing them,” Trump said. “I ended seven wars, dealt with the leaders of each and every one of these countries, and never even received a phone call from the United Nations offering to help in finalizing the deal.”
Then bragging about his ignorance … “belittling climate change as “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world”
And glorying in cruelty… “The president praised El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, for keeping deportees from the U.S. in “terrorist prisons.”
And bragging about his war crimes… “Trump also boasted about his extrajudicial strikes on suspected Venezuelan drug cartels”
And wrapping it up like a six year old child… “During the campaign they had a hat, the best-selling hat ‘Trump was right about everything,’” he told the gathered world leaders while discussing climate change. “And I don’t say that in a bragging way but it’s true. I’ve been right about everything”
Sorry world. We tried to warn and warn and warn, but they were told not to listen to us. So they voted for him.
