Gary Kasparov, on his "Autocracy in America" podcast, made an important observation when talking with a Lithuanian member of Parliament about the Russian invasion of Ukraine - Putin is fighting WWIV, he is clear that what we called the Cold War was actually WWIII, and Russia lost it.
Putin intends to win WWIV. By disinformation to undermine democracies in Europe and the U.S., by invading and conquering Ukraine, by invading the Baltic Nations after Ukraine, by destroying the European Union and NATO, by turning all of the world into another version of Russia - corrupt, greedy, cruel, authoritarian police states. So that he, and the Russian police state, can safely plunder and dominate at will.
And Trump and MAGA are on his side.
