Goodbye Constitution

It looks like the worst part of the thousand page “Big Beautiful Bill” of Trump/MAGA is a law to end all powers of the courts to stop violations of the Rule of Law and violations of the United States Constitution by MAGA officials. In addition to the biggest robbing of wealth from the middle classes and working poor to gift to the billionaires, and assaulting clean air and water, and assaulting healthcare, this assault on the courts is even more serious.

What a dictator needs is to crush all other institutions of power in the country.   The courts, and the Supreme Court, are one of those powers. Bye bye to the courts.  This is the most blatant, brazen, unconstitutional fascist language in Trump‘s big beautiful bill that I can imagine. It says:

“No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued," the provision in the bill, which is more than 1,000 pages long, says.”

What does that mean?”

"The Supreme Court has long recognized that the contempt power is integral to the authority of the federal courts…Without the ability to enforce judicial orders, they are rendered mere advisory opinions which parties are free to disregard."

So Trump, and when this old fart dies, MAGA Fascists are rewriting the law to say that the courts cannot determine the law, that the courts cannot stop a fascist government from violating the Constitution, the the U.S. Constitution is meaningless and null and void. Wait, you say, the Senate will eliminate this…you mean the MAGA Senate? The ones terrified of the mad king?  We can hope…

So, this monster tyrant, and his anti-democracy avid shock troops are destroying ALL centers of power that can stop him. 

The Republican Party no longer exists, it has been replaced by the subservient MAGA Cult.  So, Congress has been neutered. 

The press is under serious threat and attack, with the Washington Post being the first to kiss the ring. But local news has been systematically destroyed in small market America for years. 

The Universities are under serious threat and attack, with Columbia the first to kiss the ring, and Harvard is being destroyed, unless the courts can defend it…oops, what courts?

The bureaucracy has been destroyed with MAGA zombies replacing government expertise. 

The military has been gutted of independent leadership under the pretense of ending “DEI” appointments. 

A MAGA “Gestapo” is grabbing people off the streets and sending them to brutal hellhole prisons under the pretense of deporting violent gang members…next on the list will soon be political activists recharacterized as violent traitors and subversives. 

This is a dictator, and his dictatorship minions are destroying democracy, destroying the United States Constitution, and destroying the United States. 

We warned, and warned, and warned. But, hey, Trump voters gleefully “owned the libs”… hahahahahaha. It was so much fun to watch libs’ “Heads Explode”… hahahahahaha. So here we are. 

But the Soul and Spirit of the United States is going to rise up.  This shall not prevail. Screw these corrupt, cruel, incompetent fanatics. 

Is it possible to bankrupt the United States?

 To state the obvious, Donald J Trump is a really terrible businessman. He has bankrupted six of his businesses because he is a unique blend of ignorant, unteachable, and dumb. 

Is it possible to bankrupt a nation?  He seems to be trying to.

Heartless cruelty and greed from MAGA

 Well, Congress passed its Big Beautiful Bill in the wee hours of this morning, and it emits a Big Nauseating Stench of cruelty and greed. Here are some of the lowlights:

• The biggest cut in Medicare in its history, 7.7 million people will lose their Medicare - that means rural hospitals will close, nursing homes will close - too bad rural MAGA America…we warned and warned and warned
• Cuts in Obamacare and another 6 million lose health coverage- too bad rural MAGA America…we warned and warned and warned
• Add $3.8 trillion to the debt - interest rates go up, mortgages go up (too bad Millennials, no homes for you), auto loans go up, personal loans go up - too bad rural MAGA…we warned and warned and warned
• SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) cut $300 billon. Too bad rural MAGA America…we warned and warned and warned
• Plus who knows what other abominations of cruelty, greed, and lawlessness are in this fetid heap?

BUT, BUT NOT TO WORRY…

THE BILLIONAIRES GOT THEIR TAXES LOWERED!  So MAGA did what it was told to do - the largest transfer of wealth from the poor and middle classes to the billionaires in history. 

Wow!  MAGA is SO PROUD! They “OWNED THE LIBS”. And we all know how wonderful it is to hate the libs. 

We warned, and warned, and warned…

Oh well. MAGA got what it voted for (but so did the rest of us)

Crap. 

How about RAISING TAXES?

 Oh dear!  Congress can’t get the votes to pass Trump’s massive spending bill.  Oh my!  It will ADD TO THE DEFICIT!  What, oh what can Republican elected legislators do?  Oh What? Oh what?  Oh, they have a GREAT IDEA!  Cut spending, of course, of course. 

But, oh dear, what to cut?  Why, cut as many dollars that go to mainstream Americans as possible, of course.  Who needs FEMA to rescue victims and rebuild after natural disasters?  Who needs money to feed poor children?  Who needs money to teach children or create educated expert professionals? Who needs money to forecast the weather, protect against foreign predatory hackers?  Well, not the billionaires, soooooo… cut cut cut cut.  

See how fiscally responsible they are?  Aren’t you sooooooo grateful that they care SO MUCH about the deficit?  

If you are trapped in the Right Wing disinformation and distortion bubble, I guess you are. 

But I’m not. For Goodness Sake, RAISE TAXES.  On the billionaires.  On the top 0.01%, top 1%, top 10%…graduated tax system.  End the deficit. 

The last president who ran a balanced budget was Clinton. His V.P., Al Gore, led the cooperative project to cut and IMPROVE the Federal Government.

You can take money from the middle class and the poor and send trillions to the billionaires. OR you can have government raise taxes on those who have soooooo much, and benefit and empower the middle class and poor. Who will then GROW THE ECONOMY by spending on the economy rather than just buy a bunch of bonds, foreign mansions, yachts and private planes and helicopters, etc.  the masses of Americans buy the kinds of essentials and pleasures that create jobs and grow the economy. 

And, what do you know? the rich will get richer as the economy grows. What a surprise.

What happens if the income disparity becomes too large?  Well, in France the poor folks cut off the heads of the king and his aristocracy.  In Russia the poor folks shot the Tsar, his family, and his aristocracy.  

In America the poor and middle class folks who felt diminished elected a make believe billionaire because he hated the same people they do.  

Well, they are finding out he is not one of them, he is all about taking their money and sending it to the billionaires. 

What next?

Greedy, corrupt, and an easy mark

 Of course Trump thinks getting a gift of a $400 million 747 airplane whose interior looks like a Las Vegas casino is a wonderful idea. And, of course, receiving it is a massive violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. It is an impeachable offense.

But there is another part of the story. It seems that this giant, ugly old plane is a white elephant that Qatar has been trying to get rid of for years. And the Orange Puffed Up egomaniac was easily suckered into thinking it was a wonderful tribute to his super duper rich self. It is old, hugely expensive to operate because of old fashioned engines, and really way too gauche and ugly for normal people. 

And, of course, it will cost hundreds of millions to tear apart and debug by the U.S government. 

It turns out the dumbass is an easy mark for conmen to flatter and fool.

Ego Ego

Amazing how much damage people’s egos can do.  Trump’s ego is incomprehensibly grandiose and deluded.  But how about Biden’s?  Tragically for America and the world, Biden’s ego is what set up the second presidency of the most destructive person in American politics.  Biden’s ego was/is also grandiose and deluded.  To this day he believes that he should have run for a second term and he would have won.  Just delusional nonsense. From the New Yorker article by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson “How Joe Biden Handed the Presidency to Donald Trump”:

 

“The disconnect between Biden’s optimism and the unhappy reality of poll results was a constant throughout his Administration. Many insiders sensed that his inner circle shielded him from bad news. It’s also true that, for Biden to absorb those poll results, he would have had to face the biggest issue driving them: the public had concluded—long before most Democratic officials, media, and other “élites” had—that he was far too old to do the job.”

 

First things first – why did Joe Biden win the Democratic nomination in 2016?  I postulate it was the 15% rule of primary elections.  Come Super Tuesday 2016 it was time to vote in the Democratic Primary in California.  My first choice was Buttigieg and my second choice was Bloomberg – two candidates who were not too far left, like Harris and Sanders and Warren who campaigned on Medicare for All, a sure loser in a nationwide election.  But neither Buttigieg nor Bloomberg were close enough to clear the 15% bar – which means they would not pick up any California electoral votes. This was the same situation in all of the swing state primaries that Super Tuesday.That left only Biden who could get the 15% or more.  So, I chose Biden.  Because it was so existentially important to defeat Trump that I felt we could not nominate someone too far to the left.

 

And so did Democrats all across the nation on Super Tuesday.  And, of course, James Clyburn of South Carolina endorsed Biden, probably for much the same reason, and Biden won the critical South Carolina vote as well.

 

Then, Biden won 81 million votes in the presidential election and became president.  And I guess he thought “They love me!”  No, Joe, they voted against the worst person in American political history.

 

Joe promised to be a transition president.  He promised to serve one term and let the next generation compete in 2024.  He reneged on that promise.  Why?  Ego.  He accomplished real things in his presidency – ended the COVID19 pandemic, passed a massive infrastructure bill, passed the CHIPS act, rallied the democratic countries around the world to support Ukraine against the invasion of Russia.  Thank you, Joe.  But Joe’s ego decided that he was beloved, and indispensable, and sure to win in 2024.  

 

But he couldn’t possibly win in 2024.  His mental and physical capabilities had dramatically collapsed. And it was obvious, obvious, obvious to all who saw him in private, and so too when he mumbled and fumbled his way through his June 2024 debate catastrophe.  I wrote the morning after the debate, June 28,2024:

 

“ Joe Biden will not be president in 2025. It’s over. An old, old man struggling to remember a bunch of stuff he had tried to memorize. Scared old man. I could watch only about ten minutes. It was excruciating. 

I need to say the obvious - Biden was a good president but a terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible campaigner. There is too much at stake to be polite”.

 

 

But, still his ego said he could win.  It took a lot to get him to withdraw from the race.  And he is bitter about that even to this day, and he still thinks he would have won.  Ego – delusional.  

 

By the way, people saw Joe with his cognitive and physical and vitality deficiencies and said he was too old. No, he is only a year older than I, than many articulate and forceful people. No, Joe is suffering from dementia, maybe Parkinson’s? Aging is very individual.  Joe’s issues are not from age, in my opinion. Sadly, I know more about dementia than I wish I knew. 

So, instead of having Biden announce that he would not run after the start of 2024 and throw the nomination process open to the enormously talented Democratic political field, from Buttigieg and Pritzger and Shapiro and Harris and Booker and Whitmer and and and…  he stayed in the race.  Then, he CHOSE Harris.  He at a minimum should have removed himself and opened the process to the Democratic Convention to decide their candidate.  That way, elected Democrats and highly placed Democrats at the Convention would elect their nominee after convention campaigning, just like they used to do it back before the ‘70s.  It would be one of the greatest TV spectacles of all time. It would have taken multiple votes. It would have produced a very talented Democratic candidate who would have had massive publicity.  Then there would have been a much better contest for the presidency, and I am convinced that the Orange Menace would have lost, decisively.  

 

But, none of this was to be.  Why?  Because of Joe Biden’s ego.  

 

And now, we have the most grandiose, delusional ego in American history in the White House, with no concern for anything other than “What’s in it for me?”

 

Damn.

Insatiable

 A person with no center, a person who is completely empty, who can never be filled and must endlessly look outside himself, who is insatiable, with an endless need for validation.  How?  Well, the Orange Contagion needs attention, headlines, applause, worship, eyes eyes eyes on him him him. And he can never get enough, and never be filled, because it must always come from outside of himself. 

Sad little person, and sad for us that enough people thought it a good idea that he run this sad and becoming sadder country. 

But his little show is growing stale, and it is having real world consequences that really do hurt, and actually hurt those who wanted him even more than the rest of us. I think rural America red states will be hurt the most. 

I guess their main objective was to “own the libs”, well … we warned and warned and warned…

Time to let all of that go and have red and blue come together and eject the rot eating away at our wounded country. 

White House mascot?

Let’s see. If the Trump/MAGA White House were to have a mascot, what would it be? My high school sports teams had a Bulldog. You know, to show determination and fierceness. University of Washington has a Husky dog, you know, big and strong. University of Texas has a hook’em horns steer, because, you know they’re cowboys, and horns are scary. 

Maybe the Trump//MAGA White House should have a mascot. I suggest the Preying Mantis, because, you know, they’re heartless predators. 

How are they predators?  Oh, well…

• the Orange Contagion has pulled hundreds of millions from his MAGA Cult into his personal benefit… thanks suckers!
• And his Techbro Nazi muti-billionaire, Musk, has slashed all the government agencies that were regulating and investigating his government businesses… shhhhh, we weren’t supposed to notice
• And his tariffs are supposed to raise so much revenue that he could give massive”Tax Cuts” to his billionaire corrupt greedshits…nothing for you, tiny people
• And his fossil fuel corporate masters are allowed to poison the airs and waters and explode the catastrophic climate destructions of us all…just bidness you know
• And the Greed King himself set up a totally unregulated cryptocurrency that has endless “donations” from foreign powers, American and foreign businesses who want to”favors”…prove it copper, hehehehe…
• Etc etc etc etc… greed greed greed corruption corruption corruption
