I keep hearing critics of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) lamenting that they aren’t being given sufficient training, so they are screwing up and killing people and apprehending non-criminals and being too violent. Well, I don’t think that is true.
I think they are following their training precisely. I think they are being trained to terrorize immigrants, documented and undocumented, and scare them out of the country. They are purposefully trained to terrorize immigrants, terrorize liberals, terrorize reporters, terrorize bystanders, terrorize witnesses, terrorize America.
They are terrorists. They are KKK. They are “Republican” MAGA, Jim Crow, Confederacy, Bible Belt, white hypermasculine terrorists… who wear masks just like their KKK ancestors and role models did.
Their ideological leader is the execrable Steven Miller, who literally looks like a Nazi SS fanatic, or like a young Vladimir Putin. And, of course, this all flows down from the Bigot in Chief himself.
They are doing what they are being trained to do. And that has nothing to do with the Rule of Law.
